Robin became our CEO in April 2020, having previously served as Director of Residentials and Resources covering SU Holidays and Weekends, Activity Centres, Finance and IT. Robin was instrumental in helping establish Magnitude, Scotland's Christian youth festival and worship nights, run by SU Scotland in partnership with other Christian youth ministries.
After qualifying as a CA in 1997, Robin spent 6 years in accountancy practices before taking time out to study at Capernwray Bible School in New Zealand in 2003. On his return to Scotland, he was appointed CEO of Revive MS Support, a Glasgow-based charity helping people affected by Multiple Sclerosis, before joining our staff team in 2008. Through most of his life, Robin has been a camper or leader at SU events and can’t think of a more effective ministry approach to helping young people discover God and grow in faith, as well as helping develop the next generation of Christian leaders. He and his wife Rachael live in Torrance, North Glasgow and have three student-age children: Serenna, Emily and Ben. ‘Likes’ include leadership podcasts, making music, wilderness campfires, cycling... and Mackie’s ice cream.
