Barry Dougall

In 2017 Barry was appointed as the first youth worker for KYTHE, and since then has enabled KYTHE to grow and expand its activities for the young people of Kinross-shire. Barry is passionate about youth work and transforming the lives of young people by meeting them where they are. His enthusiasm is evident, and a previous treasurer of KYTHE once remarked “I don’t ever go away from Barry without feeling cheered up but I wouldn’t admit that to his face”. Barry now leads the team on the frontline and enhances the vision captured by KYTHE. Barry’s vision and drive continues to challenge the status quo of youth work in Scotland.

When Barry’s not engaged in youth work, he can be found in his church playing his drums or recording music. Barry is married to Tracy, an artist, is a father of four girls, and recently became a grandfather to twin boys.
