Volunteering Opportunities | Alltnacriche
Are you looking to expand your skills and grow in a vibrant team setting? Join us at Alltnacriche for a short-term voluntary placement and be part of our mission to inspire children and young people. Full training will be provided.
Who are we?
Scripture Union Scotland exists to see every child and young person in Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus. As a Christian charity, we have around 120 staff and 2,500 volunteers.
Alltnacriche is an SU Scotland outdoor activity centre, nestled in the Cairngorms National Park near Aviemore. We offer exceptional facilities and outdoor programmes to schools, youth groups, churches, and SU Holidays. Since opening in 1988, we’ve been helping visitors discover, learn, grow, and refresh.
What might I be doing?
As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Alltnacriche offers opportunities in areas such as hospitality, outdoor activities, catering, and maintenance. Whether you’re passionate about welcoming guests, love the outdoors, or want to develop skills in another area, we’ll tailor your role to your interests and strengths. Training and qualifications, including outdoor leadership, will be available to support you.
What about accommodation?
Volunteers are provided with comfortable accommodation and food for the duration of their placement. You’ll stay onsite in the heart of the Cairngorms, surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
We are also keen to encourage applications from volunteers who are interested in contributing on a more regular basis e.g once a week, and who wouldn’t require accommodation or a formal placement.
Who will I work with?
You’ll be part of a committed team of Christians working to fulfil SU Scotland’s vision. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow in faith, gain practical experience, and make a lasting impact on children and young people across Scotland.
To apply, send your CV and covering letter to alltnacriche@suscotland.org.uk.
